Get to know the ONE-derful first-time coach, Kristi English, who joined us as a coach in Spring 2026! Because she signed up and became a coach, more girls know that they’re strong, confident, and capable of achieving their goals. Read her spotlight answers below!
Question 1: What motivated you to get involved to support Girls on the Run of the Greater Chesapeake?
I do not think I had heard of Girls on the Run before meeting GOTRGC’s Executive Director when we both participated in the 2024 class of Shore Leadership. Seeing her passion and hearing about the organization made me know that I wanted to be a coach!
Question 2: Why do you think it's important for girls today to have access to this program?
I saw firsthand the impact of the program with the girls I coached! When we began the season, the girls were very intimidated with knowing that they would soon be faced with a 5K at the end of the season. As we continued with the program, we tracked their progress, encouraged each other and ran further than they ever thought possible! Our girls exploded with confidence during the 5K!
Question 3: What do you love the most about coaching?
I loved getting to know each of the girls on our team. They were so full of joy and excitement at each practice, and it was so fun to share my love of running with them.
Question 4: What inspired Easton Utilities to partner with GOTRGC, and why is supporting opportunities for girls in our community important to your company?
Easton Utilities believes in the power of a strong community and is dedicated to helping others thrive. They approach charitable giving with a commitment to support the people and places that’re working in the best interests of our community, and aim to help accelerate progress by promoting their missions, and investing in their endeavors.

Question 5: What are some of your hobbies or interests?
I am an avid runner and lover of working out in general. I love to share the mind, body, soul benefits of physical activity in ALL ages! I also work and live in Easton, with my husband, Rob, and two kids, Ellie and Joey and dog, Rex.
We’re very grateful to Kristi for supporting the girls as they pursue their goals.
