This is my 2nd year with GOTR Greater Chesapeake.

2) What drew you to the program to get involved?

I enjoy programs that are uplifting and create a  positive  atmosphere for our community. When I learned the program was geared towards girls and focused on health/ social emotional well being I knew it would be a win!

3) Why do you think it's so important for girls today to have access to this program?

It’s super important to have access to programs like this because it helps to create a solid foundation for our girls. Navigating through this world as a young lady can be challenging and scary. It’s extremely important to build confidence and help our girls know exactly what their Star Power is!

4) What fun memory would you like to share?

A fun memory is watching the our girls complete the 5k. It was a heartwarming and proud moment.

5) What are some fun facts about you?

Fun facts… I am a huge Philadelphia Eagles! I enjoy going to the beach and fishing. My dream vacation would be traveling to Japan.

1)How long have you been involved with Girls on the Run of the Greater Chesapeake?

  1 season

2) What drew you to the program to get involved?

I want to connect with the participants on a different level and I also wanted to help them accomplish the goals they set throughout the season.

3) Why do you think it's so important for girls today to have access to this program?

GOTR helps the participants to learn and be in touch with themselves in a deeper way, it helps participants to be more self- aware of themselves and others. These skills will help the participants to be okay with being themselves, allow others to be themselves, and to connect with others in a more meaningful way.

4) What fun memory would you like to share?

I took pictures with the Looney Tunes Characters at Six Flags; I met and took a picture with one of the Manning Brothers in New Orleans.

5) What are some fun facts about you?

I have a twin sister, I am shy, however I love people. I started playing basketball at a young age, as I got better and begin to compete with others it taught me many life skills, like team work, how to celebrate others even when they win and you do not (took me a little while to learn and accept), how to never give up and to always try.
