1. What drew you to get involved with Girls on the Run of the Greater Chesapeake now?
I’m inspired by Girls on the Run’s mission to help every girl realize her limitless potential. Through my involvement with WILL at Under Armour, I’ve seen firsthand the positive impact this organization has on girls- especially those facing barriers to confidence and opportunity. I want to contribute my time and skills to support a program that builds physical, emotional, and social strength in girls from all communities
2. Why do you think it's so important for girls today to have access to this program?
In a world of constant change, building confidence and emotional resilience early is critical. Girls on the Run provides a powerful platform and nurturing space where girls can build both—empowering them to grow into confident, capable individuals who can navigate any challenge.
3. What are some of your hobbies or interests?
In my leisure time, I find joy in hiking, traveling with my family, and embracing the beauty of nature. But my happiest moments are the simple ones, walking with my fur baby, Bruno, whose boundless energy and affection bring me endless happiness. I move through life with passion and gratitude. As a proud mother of two—one a college graduate beginning her professional journey at a law firm in Washington, DC, and the younger one a freshman at UMD pursuing Mathematics and Computer Science—I deeply cherish the milestones that shape our lives. Giving back is central to who I am; I believe we are all born with purpose, and that even the smallest acts can create a meaningful impact on humanity.
We inspire girls to be joyful, healthy and confident using a fun, experience-based curriculum which creatively integrates running. Non-profit girl empowerment after-school program for girls.
